How many sensors do I need?

We generally recommend one sensor for every 160 sqft but the range can be extended for certain analytics such as gunshot detection. However, you should book a consultation with a Triton expert to get a complete evaluation of your facility.

How do I install the sensors?

Triton Sensors install into virtually any ceiling or wall including drywall, drop ceiling, concrete, etc. The sensors receive power through Power over Ethernet (PoE) and can receive data connection through the same Ethernet cable or through WiFi.

Is there a license required?

The Triton sensor does not require a license to operate but the features and scalability of your sensors can be enhanced with a Triton Cloud license! Contact a Triton professional to learn more.

How fast are the alerts on the sensors?

Triton text, app, and email alerts typically send within 5 seconds of detection! Detection time varies depending on a range of factors. Contact a Triton professional to learn more.

How do I get alerts?

Triton offers a range of alert options and it’s the only major sensor to offer SMS text message notifications through the gold standard Twilio API. Triton also supports email, mobile app, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and Slack alerts. Additionally, Triton integrates with a multitude of 3rd party security and notification systems such as Genetec, Milestone, Verkada, and more. Does Triton include an audible or visual alarm?

Triton’s siren and notification light are turned off by default. However, you can program them to turn on for any alert or condition. For example, Triton can play a voice recording when vape is detected or turn on an indicator light when air quality becomes hazardous.

Can I integrate the sensors into my security system?

Yes — Triton is the most open sensor platform and can be integrated with virtually any system. Popular integrations include video management systems (VMS), access control systems, mass alert systems, and more.

Do the sensors violate privacy?

No. Triton is designed to go where other safety, security, and monitoring measures can’t. It captures no video and records no sensitive data. For this reason, the sensor is fully HIPAA and GDPR compliant and can be placed in sensitive spaces like bathrooms, changing rooms, patient rooms, dormatories, and office spaces.
