Hershey, Pennsylvania – August 2024 – Triton is proud to announce a groundbreaking drug classification model built for and trained using Triton ULTRA Smart Sensor and it’s advanced chemical sensors. The model introduces quicker and more accurate classification than Triton’s previous AI detection algorithms or the various detection approaches adopted by other sensors.
The algorithm was trained using thousands of data points and hundreds of training hours to culminate in the most robust chemical sensor-based drug classification model. This model builds on Triton’s previous KNN Classification model by introducing additional classes with faster and more accurate detection.
40% More Accurate Than The Previous KNN Algorithm
In an era when drug use is becoming an increasing threat to public health and safety, Triton’s new algorithm stands out by leveraging eleven individual sensor parameters, including comprehensive chemical data. This advanced approach allows our system to intelligently sort through and identify compounds such as THC, vape, and smoking, as well as masking agents like aerosols and deodorants.
Built on a foundation of thousands of data points and hundreds of test events, our algorithm represents a substantial upgrade from our previous KNN-based AI technology. The results speak for themselves: 40% more accurate than the previous algorithm, all while maintaining additional classes such as THC and cigarette smoke detection.
Trained on Forty-Five Thousand Data Points
Unlike traditional threshold-based algorithms, which rely on fixed parameters and fail to adapt to changing environments, our AI learns from the air around it. This continuous learning capability ensures that our detection remains both accurate and reliable, regardless of the conditions.
“This innovation underscores our commitment to providing our customers with the most advanced and reliable solutions for air quality monitoring and drug detection” said Garrison Parthemore, Chief Vape Tester and Co-Founder at Triton Sensors.
Real-world applications of this technology are vast, ranging from public bathrooms and locker rooms to healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and more. Accurate and quick drug detection is just one of the many reasons customers rely on Triton to protect private spaces.
