Born in a Classroom & Built for Safer Spaces

Triton began in February 2020 as a high school STEM project built to help a younger sister feel safer at school. That early prototype sparked a mission to protect people in the places they learn, work, and visit. Now Triton's palm-sized AI Sensors help thousands of schools, banks, hospitals, and other spaces prevent harmful behaviors while maintaining complete privacy compliance.
Triton is mission-driven and prioritizes people's privacy while giving better insight into what’s happening in private spaces.

Mission over Margin: How Triton's founding priciples shape every aspect of its operations
Triton was born in a Pennsylvania high school, when three classmates worked together on a school project to solve the issue of vaping in school restrooms when one of the founders sisters no longer felt safe. What began as a STEM club initiative to solve a local problem quickly evolved into an engineered prototype designed to detect vaping in private spaces without intrusive monitoring.
In the earliest days of the pandemic, over an IHOP breakfast, the founders committed to turning their project into a company. They spent the next year transforming a 3D-printed prototype into a reliable, scalable product capable of serving institutions far beyond their own school walls.
Today, Triton leads in features, accuracy, and customer satisfaction across the various industries it has entered.
Triton has shipped thousands of sensors across the globe and our software processes millions of datapoints a day. We own an innovative patent for our advanced radar technology and occupancy alerting. But most importantly, Triton has the pleasure of serving incredible customers and helping make facilities everywhere safer for everyone.

Independent and Founder-Owned

Triton Sensors is 100% privately held. All of the company's equity is owned by its three founders, and we have never accepted outside funding. We're proud to be independent. We answer to the schools and organizations we serve, not outside investors, which lets us put mission over margins and focus on building products that keep people safe for years to come.

Our Mission

Here at Triton, we are a mission-driven company focused on making private spaces everywhere safer without compromising privacy. Triton uses sensing and signal processing to eliminate safety blind spots in places where cameras aren’t an option.
Everyone deserves to feel safe and our goal is to help organizations take informed action sooner to protect the people they serve.

Since Triton’s introduction of the first Triton ULTRA series sensor in 2024, we have been considered the market leader in advanced safety sensing.
While many customers first discover Triton for a flagship feature like vape detection, people counting, or emergency keywords, they quickly realize all the applications Triton serves.

Built for
Trust & Security

Triton is engineered with security and privacy at its core.
We are SOC 2 Type II certified, ensuring enterprise-grade governance and protection across every part of our platform.
Our sensors are designed with a strict privacy-first approach with no cameras, no facial recognition, and no identity tracking. All data is encrypted, and organizations maintain complete control through role-based access permissions built for institutional environments. Every feature reflects our belief that security should strengthen privacy, not compete with it.

Powered by Partnerships

Triton is a partner-first company. Because total safety and security cannot be accomplished by a single technology or company, we rely on a network of integration partners, resellers, developers, and end-users to help us achieve our mission.
